Burmy has been a hip-hop fan starting in his middle/high school days and culminating into his adulthood.  He has enjoyed taking note of artists which, while signed to major deals, for some reason or another never got the publicity their better-known counterparts had and which they deserved just as much as them.

Having written for DJBooth.net from 2007 until 2009 and for RefinedHype.com from 2010 until 2011, Burmy wrote several blurbs for newly-featured artists, as well as the reader-acclaimed "After Further Review," "The Femcee Letters," and "Albums That Deserve Another Chance" series among others.  Now Burmy is taking his passion for music over gimmicks to another level with this series, specifically devoted to artists who were signed to a major label, had a few hits, and maybe even dropped their album under that label, but for some reason never truly achieved mainstream success as an artist.  So sit back, and watch Burmy give his therapy!
